Peak & Valley Trail Runners are a very friendly and enthusiastic running group based near Marple, on the fringes of the beautiful Peak District National Park.
We welcome all runners who enjoy fell, trail and road running to join us on our routes through some of the finest countryside in the UK. Our group includes run-leaders and runners who have a vast amount of experience, so you're never far from someone who can give valuable advice or support for your latest running challenge. Note that we're not a UK Athletics affiliated running club so there is no formal membership or fee for running with us.
Most of our regular running routes are between 5 to 25 miles, offering spectacular views across peaks and valleys and, somewhat inevitably, include some significant ascents and descents!
We also arrange a number of ad-hoc runs throughout the year, such as the very sociable 'Friday Skive' and weekends in the Lake District National Park. We have even arranged a group visit to enjoy the weather and scenery in Cyprus!
Here are some Peak & Valley Trail Runners enjoying a well-earned rest at the summit of Helvellyn, during a recce of the Bob Graham round (Leg 2).
